MCEdit is a powerful world editing tool. You can do things such as paint blocks, copy blocks, paste them directly into the world, fill areas with blocks, replace certain blocks with others, and more. You can even use custom texture packs to make sure everything looks just right.
MCEdit contains a clipboard of copied selections allowing you to duplicate structures. In addition, you can save these clips as schematic files and import them later. For creating large structures that will be repeated many times over, MCEdit is perfect for building cities in minutes.
I plan to use MCEdit to assemble all of the individual pieces of the Floating Continent. I recommend importing any work into MCEdit to create your world pieces.
